I'm trying to post to mulitiple journals using Semagic, and want to make sure it's working. :)

I've also managed to Archive my entire LJ, posts...comments...and all on my HD, and cloned my LJ at both GJ, & IJ. So I'm set. Whew! I'm so glad that's over with!

In case I wasn't clear in my last post, I'm not advocating fic or art depicting sexual situations involving minors. I don't post those types of things. In fact my entire LJ could be rated PG at worst. My concern is regular fan-art, such as my icons/wallpapers etc. Which aren't graphic at all. However, If LJ decided to get really gung ho about copyright violations, I'd be targeted too. I'm hoping & thinking they aren't planning on going to that extreme, but I'm hearing noises of concern and that's why I've decided to do back up journals.

» Mass Exodus?
Seems like the latest LJ thing has caused mass migrations, or at the least, mass back up journals with those on my f-list involved in fandom. I'm going to look into backing up my content at both Greatest Journal, and Insane Journal...where I've already set up accounts. I'm not planning on leaving LJ yet, I'm really hoping that things won't come to that. I'm comfy here. 

However, if things get really stupid...I don't want to be flapping in the wind either. So feel free to friend me at one or either of my back up journals, if you happen to get/have an account there. :)

An example of an initial mistake that LJ made - regarding purging illegal content - was using a program that mass deleted any journal that listed "rape" as an interest. Only problem was, lots of rape victims, and rape survior communites had that term listed in their interests and were deleted too. That naturally upset a lot of innocent people, and they have since been reinstated. However, that is the kind of behavior that has people nervous. LJ may have the right intentions, but are kind of "bull in a china shop" in going about things.

Sands of Oblivion on Sci-Fi channel (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm : Central Time) has Morena Baccarin & Adam Baldwin starring as husband and wife! 

So good to see them on the screen working together. Even if it is a typical B movie. :D

Ooookay. I just saw a commercial that made me say "I know they didn't." 

Picture this....

A room full of guys playing guitars, pianos, various instuments and singing Viva Las Vegas. Except they aren't singing the words Viva Las-Vegas. They're belting out "VIVA VI-AGRA". O_o

That is just wrong on sooo many levels.

Captain's log. Stardate 08-01-07....

Week one of grass growing experiment has been sucessful so far. Life form scans indicate sprouts that seem to be really, really short - but healthy. Bones is optimistic that he may not have to say, yet again..."It's dead Jim." Will likely beat the snot out of Bones if he does deliver such sad news.

Have enlisted Spock to go over all growth calculations - for the hundredth time -  to insure no surprises. Spock says I'm tense...that instead of growing grass, I should try smoking it to relax. Pfft. Vulcans. Told him his Mama has emotions. Heh.

I did it. I planted grass again. *flails* The last time I did this, it was an emotional rollercoaster ride. It germinated (yay!), it grew (yay!), it died (wah!). It was my own personal, 911 Fescue, drama. This time I'm going with Bermuda. *nods*

I'll keep you posted on the progress. Meanwhile...pray. for. my. grass. :P

I went to see The Transformers with [info]angstchic Saturday before last, and it was much fun! This past Sat. I went swimming for the first time this summer, and ended up getting a bit of a sunburn. Nothing serious, thankfully, just a bit pink and toasty for a couple of days. Next time I'll apply my sunscreen more carefully. ;)

Hope all is well with everyone. If I'm lucky, I'll have more time this week to read up on my f-list. Until then...*big hugs* :D

In more positive, and less of the wanting to kill people news, I finally updated Captured Memories! Last time I added any icons was in March, so it was way overdue. I've also managed to crank out lots of icons lately, and I'm really hoping to get to work on a set for Summer and maybe 4th of July too. 

I've also decided that my youngest baby dog has OCD. I poured a scoop of dog kibble into their bowl, which makes it form into a little pile with a peak on it. I notice her walk over to the bowl, study the little peak and systematically use her nose to press the kibble peak nice and flat. (hee) Once it suits her, she selects a few kibble and trots away to munch them on the carpet. I sneak over and make a peak with the kibble again to see what she'd do, and when she trots back, she does the nose thing again! *giggle* I have no idea how long she's been doing this, but I only noticed it a few weeks ago. They are just so darn cute with their little quirks.
